Malcom provides an intuitive interface for viewing the execution and status of each job run. By default, the grid displays batches from the last 24 hours.
Search Bar:
You can search for products by the following identifiers:
- Batch ID: The unique identifier that regroups a list of jobs.
- URL Handle: The unique identifier used to search by product within imported batches.
- SKU: Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) can be used as a search string.
Filter By Status:
- In Progress: List of batches currently being processed by Malcom.
- To Be Synced: List of batches that have been queued for processing.
- Completed: List of batches that have been successfully completed and at least one product was imported.
Note: If you would like to see a complete list of jobs, including those that are empty (no products imported), toggle: “Include Empty Batches” to “on”.
- Completed with Error: List of batches that have completed the synchronization process but failed one or more of the following “Job Type”:
- Create a Shopify Media Record
- Delete Shopify Metafields
- Translate Shopify Product Or Collection Title And Description
- Translate Shopify Metafields
- Translate Shopify Product Option Names
- Translate Shopify Variant Option Values
Note: Malcom will continue the synchronization process for items Completed with Error as these are non-critical “Job Types” and will not affect batch completion. We highly recommend that you check the payload details for each failed “Job Type” and try to resolve the root cause in your Shopify Store.
- Stopped Due To Error: List of batches that were aborted by Malcom due to configuration or data-related errors in the Akeneo, Malcom, or Shopify Store.
More Filters:
- Filter By Date: Malcom allows you to filter your grid data using the following filters: “Custom,” “Last 24 hrs,” “Today,” “Yesterday,” “This Month,” and “Last 4 Weeks”.
- Page Size: Allows you to change the number of items displayed on a single page from 5 to 100, thus increasing the size of your page,
Action buttons:
- Refresh: Reloads the batch grid data to display the latest information.
- Sync Now: If a job is waiting to be synced, clicking this button will force a sync. Malcolm will syncs automatically every 15 minutes.
- Sync All: A Manual trigger for initiating a FULL synchronization from Akeneo to your Shopify Store.
Note: If Malcom is in the middle of an existing synchronization process, a new job will be created and queued with a Status of “To Be Synced.”
- Discover Shopify Products: Malcom will check your Shopify Store and create a notification for product mismatch using the following criteria:
- Matching Products: Your product(s), variant(s), or collections currently exist in both Akeneo and Shopify.
- Not Found in Akeneo: Your product(s), variant(s), or collections currently exist in Shopify but not in Akeneo.
- Not Found in Malcom: Your product(s), variant (s), or collections currently exist in Shopify but cannot be found in the Malcom repository.
