In this section, Malcom will gather any applicable Media configuration parameters to use for product synchronization of the Akeneo Product Model attributes when saving Shopify Products in your Shopify Online and Point of Sale (POS) Channel (if applicable). This section will focus only on “Product Images,” as Variant attributes will be covered next.
It is recommended that you select at least one image attribute here. There is no limit for how many additional attributes you can add. Note: images will be rendered in the order they are displayed in this section, but Malcom will group all assets and all images together.
Image:
- Description: Malcom will allow you to add up to 250 image attributes to your products as Media. Note: The first media item imported by Malcom will be shown on the collection pages, the cart page, the checkout page, and your homepage.
- Action: Select the appropriate “Image” attribute from the list of Akeneo attributes.
- Asset Collection: If you select from the dropdown an attribute tied to an Asset Collection, the number of images that can be synced is between 0 and, at most, 9 images. The sort order of these images will be based on the order defined in Akeneo.
Image Alt Text:
- Description: Malcom will enable you to select an Alternate (Alt) Image Text for each Akeneo Media attribute.

Action: Select an “Image Alt Text” for your corresponding Akeneo Image. Note: Image Alt Text on media can be selected from a select list of attributes assigned to asset families in Akeneo. Akeneo attributes that are currently supported are the following:

- Number
