n this section, Malcom will gather any applicable Metafields configuration parameters to use for product synchronization in your Shopify Online and Point of Sale (POS) Channel (if applicable).
Here, you will choose from which Akeneo Product attributes you want to source the data when saving the Shopify Variants. Note: the instructions for this setup section are identical to Step 3.3. Metafields are optional. If you do not wish to create any, jump ahead to Notifications.
Namespace Name, Key & Value:
Description: Malcom allows you to create a unique namespace and add any number of appropriate metafields with a corresponding “Key.” Example:
- Namespace Name: product
- Key: expiration_date
Note: Shopify will create a metafield called “product.expiration_date,” and that metafield will have the value of the attribute selected.
Action:
- Add a name for your “Namespace.”
- Enter a key for your metafield.
- Select an attribute from the dropdown.
More metafields can be added for each Namespace by clicking “Add Metafield” in the corresponding Namespace box. Unwanted Metafields can be removed by clicking the trash can next to the row you wish to delete. Namespaces can be added and deleted by clicking the “Add New Namespace” and “Remove Namespace” buttons.
