A locale was updated in Shopify

Sample Notification: A locale used in the Malcom mapping was updated from the Shopify Online Store. Please update the locale's mapping to reflect the change.
Description: A locale used in the Malcom mapping (Step 2. Channel Setup) was removed from the Shopify Online Store.
How to Recover:

Scenario 1: A locale used in the Malcom channel mapping was accidentally removed from your Shopify Store.

In Shopify: 

  1. Navigate to the Settings\Languages screen and add the missing language.
  2. Click “Publish” to apply this change to your online store.

In Malcom: 

  1. Click on “Review Problem”.
  2. Then select “Dismiss Notification & Close.”

Scenario 2: A locale used in the Malcom channel mapping was intentionally unpublished or removed in your Shopify Store.

In Shopify: 

  1. No changes 

In Malcom: 

  1. Click on “Review Problem”.
  2. Malcom will redirect you to Step 2 of the Setup. 
  3. Click on the trash icon to remove the locale mapping, which was intentionally removed in Shopify’s Settings\Languages.
  4. Then select “Save Changes & Close.”

Scenario 3: A locale was added to your Shopify Store.

In Shopify: 

  1. No changes 

In Malcom: 

  1. Click on “Review Problem”.
  2. Malcom will redirect you to Step 2 of the Setup. 
  3. Click on the icon to add the new locale mapping which was added in Shopify’s Settings\Languages.
  4. Then select “Save Changes & Close.”
Notes:
  1. Malcom requires at least one locale configured in your Shopify Store.
  2. A new batch will be automatically submitted for synchronization.
  3. IMPORTANT: In order to apply any new mapping updates to future synchronization jobs, click on the “Sync All” button.
