An attribute was removed from Akeneo

Sample Notification: An attribute used in the Malcom mapping was removed from Akeneo. Please update the mapping configuration to select the new attribute to use.
Description: An attribute used in the Malcom mapping (Step 3 - Product Mapping & Step 4 - Variant Mapping) was removed from Akeneo.
How to Recover:

 

Scenario 1: An attribute used in the Malcom mapping for Products or Variants was accidentally removed in Akeneo.

In Akeneo: 

  1. Navigate to the Settings\Attributes screen.
  2. Click on “Create Attribute” to add back the missing attribute as highlighted in the notification.
  3. Click on Save.
  4. Navigate to the Products screen.
  5. Add or restore the appropriate values for each Product for the deleted attribute.   

In Malcom: 

  1. Click on “Review Problem”.
  2. Then select “Dismiss Notification & Close”.

Scenario 2: An attribute used in the Malcom mapping for Products or Variants was intentionally removed in Akeneo.

In Akeneo: 

  1. No changes 

In Malcom: 

  1. Click on “Review Problem”.
  2. Malcom will redirect you to Step 3 or 4 of the Setup. 
  3. If Malcom detects multiple issues, each issue will be highlighted in red within Steps 3 and/or 4 until all the issue(s) are resolved.
  4. Reload the Malcom App by clicking the refresh button in your browser or hitting F5 (Windows) or CMD+R (Mac).
  5. Select the appropriate attribute from the drop-down list for each field.
  6. Select “Save Changes & Close”.

In order to apply any new mapping updates to future synchronization jobs, click on the “Sync All” button.

Example: Malcom could not find an Akeneo attribute called “Product Title,” which was originally mapped in Step 3 as “Title”. Malcom will display this notification and will also remove the missing Akeneo “Product Title” from the drop-down list, and you will be required to select a new one.
Notes:

A new batch will be automatically submitted for synchronization.
